Armin Kavousi’s journey as an entrepreneur is a masterclass in how to build, scale, and sustain successful businesses. As a serial entrepreneur, Armin has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to start companies from scratch, scale them rapidly, and lead them to exits. His latest triumph, the growth and IPO of MeeW, is perhaps the most significant achievement of his entrepreneurial career and reflects the exceptional business acumen he possesses.
MeeW, which Armin founded in 2017, exemplifies his skill in scaling businesses to impressive heights. Starting with no revenue, the company grew to over 30 million DKK in annual revenue by 2023. During this period, Armin successfully scaled the company from a small team to 45 employees and 20 consultants. The company’s rapid expansion was not only a result of sound business strategies but also Armin’s exceptional ability to build a high-performing team that could drive growth and innovation at an unprecedented pace.
Armin’s leadership at MeeW was not just about financial success but also about creating a strong company culture. His focus on hiring the right people and creating an environment that fosters collaboration and innovation has been key to the company’s growth. Armin understands that a business can only scale when the right team is in place, and he’s built one that is aligned with his vision and goals.
In 2023, MeeW reached a major milestone when it IPO’d, marking the peak of the company’s journey. This public listing was a culmination of years of hard work, strategic decisions, and a commitment to growth. For Armin, this was not just a financial achievement, but a validation of his leadership and vision. The IPO provided the company with the capital needed to continue expanding and cemented its position in the market.
Beyond his work with MeeW, Armin has also been deeply involved in the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Denmark. He served on two different committees for entrepreneurship at Dansk Industri, Denmark’s leading business organization. This allowed him to contribute to discussions on policy and initiatives that support business growth, innovation, and the development of new entrepreneurs in the country.
Armin has also been a mentor at the CSE/CBS – School of Entrepreneurship in Copenhagen. Through this role, he has helped countless startups navigate the challenges of growing a business, sharing his own experiences and lessons learned along the way. His guidance has been invaluable to young entrepreneurs, and his role as a mentor is a testament to his commitment to giving back to the community that helped him grow.
Armin’s personal philosophy is that no challenge is too big or small. He credits much of his success to the grace of God and believes that faith, combined with perseverance, is key to overcoming obstacles. Whether scaling a company, navigating market changes, or building a team, Armin has shown that with a clear vision, a strong team, and faith in oneself, anything is possible.
